Welfare Activities

Besides the charity hospital community welfare services are also being provided. It includes a stiching and sewing training centre for women, newly established computer centre, Quran and Hadith Classes for women. Financial aid is also being provided to the poor, widows and deserving talented students.

Herbal Treatment of Hepatits C and B

Hepacol tablets and syrup developed and produced by the research wing of the Society is proving very beneficial / helpful for the patients of Hepatitis C. Hundreds of the patients of Hepatitis - C are receiving Hepacol therapy. Hepacol is without any side effects. It gives protection to liver and saves it from further damage. The complications of the disease are also controlled by Hepacol. Hepacol has got antiviral properties. It acts in the same manner like interferon and normalizes the liver functions

Weight Loss

A Herbal Sliming Course has been produced and formulated by the Society. This course ensures weight loss within 2-3 months. It is gaining popularity among young girls / women and fat men. This sliming product is without any side effects and can be used by all who want to shed away their extra body fat.

Health Education

In collaboration with UNICEF, the Society has been providing necessary information about HIV / AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases to community, especially to youth through regular teaching sessions and informative brochures. Advisory Council for Youth

Free advisory service centre has been established for the youth. Young boys and girls, especially teenagers are being provided with necessary guidance regarding their teenage problems through interactive sessions and with the help of books Teenage Tinglings and Teenage Guide written by Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah. Teenage problems and their solution is the theme of these books. Teenage Guide has been written in Urdu and deals with the problems of early youth. These books are available for the guidance of youth.

PROGRESS REPORT OF CUSTOMS HEALTH CARE SOCIETY FOR THE YEAR ENDING ON 31ST DECEMBER 2014

The detail of different ongoing projects and welfare programmes undertaken and completed by CHCS during the Year 2014 is given as under:-
  1. CUSTOMS HEALTH CARE SOCIETY CHARITY HOPSITAL, LAHORE AND OTHER CLINICS IN PAKISTAN:-
  2. The main objective of the CHCS is to provide quality medical care to the poor and needy patients in order to alleviate their pains and miseries. More than 60,000 patients were successfully treated during the year at main Charity Hospital of the society and different clinics throughout Pakistan.
  3. EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS:- The schools run by the CHCS at Baboo Saboo, Lahore, Mahmood Kot Muzzafargarh, Dheri Khel, Noshehra and Bahrain, Swat in KPK are providing quality education to the poor and non-affording students belonging to poor families.
  4. COMMUNITY CENTRES:- The community Centers of CHCS in Lahore, Muzzafargarh, Swat, Noshehra, Mardan, Sargodha and Tharparkar are imparting technical support (Sewing and stiching) as well computer knowledge to the students in general and girls in particular.

CUSTOMS HEALTH CARE SOCIETY SERVING THE HUMANITY IN DISTRESS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF DR. ASIF MAHMOOD JAH-AKEMCOLIAN OF CLASS 1986

Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) is an NGO duly recognized and approved by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Government of Pakistan. Established by Dr. AsifMahmoodJah in 1998 as a non-profit organization, the primary objective of the CHCS was to provide free medical facilities to indigent patients as also to create among them an awareness of preventive measures in respect of common but widespread diseases. With a modest beginning and relying mainly on its own resources, the CHCS has ever since beengrowing and developing thereby extending enlarged medical facilities to its mainly resource less clientele. Initially, its scope of activities was confined to Lahore and suburbs. However, with the hard work put in by a dedicated team of volunteers, which included specialist doctors and social workers, its fame spread and soon it started attracting in large numbers men, women and children stricken with ignorance, poverty, distress and disease from all over the Punjab, Azad Kashmir and all other provinces of Pakistan.

The care and welfare teams of Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) remained under the direct supervision of Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah busy in providing relief to the Earthquake / Flood affected people of Awaran, Baluchistan and Punjab during the year 2014 and up to 21st April 2015. However, the main focus remained on the care and welfare of IDPs of North Waziristan and providing relief to the drought stricken people of Thar. The detail of different ongoing projects and welfareprogrammes undertaken and completed by CHCS during the Year 2014 and upto 21st April 2015 is given as under:-

  1. The main objective of the CHCS is to provide quality medical care to the poor and needy patients in order to alleviate their pains and miseries. More than 150,000 patients were successfully treated during the year and upto 21st April 2015 at main Charity Hospital of the society and 13 other clinics throughout Pakistan.

  2. EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS:-

    At present 08 schools are being run by CHCS. The schools run by the CHCS at BabooSaboo, Lahore, 18-Hazari Jhang,MahmoodKotMuzzafargarh in PunjabDheriKhel, Noshehra and Bahrain, Swat in KPK and one in Thar, Sindh are providing quality education to the hundreds poor and non-affording students belonging to poor families.

  3. COMMUNITY CENTRES:-

    The community Centers of CHCS in Lahore, Muzzafargarh, Swat, Noshehra, Mardan, Sargodha and Tharparkar are imparting technical training (Sewing and stiching) as well computer knowledge to the students in general and girls and women in particular.
